80 quattro DIFF flud

    The rear diff is a hypoid-transmission. The hypoid-transmissions need ja special oil. It is a 75W90 GL5 (<- !!!). For the front transmission you need a 75W90 GL4+.



    Don't use other oil, it could damage your transmissions. GL5 in the transmission could destroy the synchronizer rings and a GL4 oil in the diff could damage your diff-wheels. On ebay you can buy the castrol GL4+ and a GL5, maybe from LiquiMoly or castrol, too.
